Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When searching for parts, I entered "one hundred" in the Quantity Required
field, then clicked the 'Search' button. An error window popped up saying:
- Invalid number in the Quantity field.
A: When entering a quantity, please use valid numbers only.
Ex: 100 and 100,000 are both valid numbers.
Q: My search returned more than one page of results, and I want to select
items from different pages. How can I do this?
A: Select the items from the page you are viewing, then click the button
'Add Selected to My List'. This button is found at the top and the bottom
of the search results. The next page you see is your list that contains
the items you selected. To return to the previous page with the search
results, click the button 'Back to Search Result'.
Q: I tried to return to a previous page by hitting the browser Back button,
but got the following message: Warning: Page has Expired.
A: Because the O-MI Search function is real-time, hitting the Back button
can cause out-of-date pages to display in your browser. In order to avoid
this problem, please use the navigation bar to access different pages of
the site.
Q: I selected 'View My List' from the navigation bar, but the page says:
Your list is empty.
A: The list of parts you select from the search results is available to
you until you submit a request for quote. Once you submit that request,
your list will be empty. Perform a new search by clicking 'Part Search'
in the navigation bar.
Q: I just logged in to O-MI and searched for a part. I selected the
part I want and clicked 'Add Selected to My List', but there were several
other parts in the list. This is the first search I have done today, why
are those other parts on my list?
A: 'My List' contains all of the parts you have selected by clicking the
'Add Selected to My List' button. This list is saved, even if you log out
of O-MI. The list will continue to grow until you submit a Request for
Quote. After submitting a request, the list will be empty. It's easy to
remove parts from your list. Simply click the check box next to that part
and click the 'Delete' button at the bottom of the list.
